Have you recorded yourself talking in your sleep?

Have you ever captured yourself saying something useful in your sleep and actually used it in a song?

Or, have your sleeping self at least spark an idea to your waking self?

Recorded my gf sleep talking + used it as a jump off point for a track a few years back...never got past the initial in the box/in the bed sketch though: 777

Same (ex-gf now). It's a track on the album I've been meaning to release for the last 2 years.

I recorded a weird garbled voicelike thing not too long ago, maybe it was me, but it doesn't really sound like it, as I make a yawning noise much closer to the mic shortly after.

I tried this a couple times in college but I never said anything.

Given the size of field recorders now, I should give it a shot.

imo, that was something too personal, to be recorded and used later publicly like this. did you ask her for permission?

I am too scared to want to hear the stuff I mumble through my sleep and my dreams recently seem to be of me in various public places but with no pants on.

I guess I will have to find other means of inspiration.
