gotta be honest, the fact that it doesn't really go anywhere don't really appeal to me, i know it's just the style so it's a question of personal taste nothing more...

mixing wise it sounds good, bouncy kick, nice hats and toms, 303 pretty clean... i guess some chords here and there would make me love this but just as it is it's too minimal for my short attention span...

anyway keep up :thumbsup:

Thanks man, I’ll take that. I’m only just starting out so I’ve mainlybeen concentrating on levels and track progression. More melodic & detailed stuff up next I think.

Yeah, the progression is a tiny bit slow, and you should maybe try and mess around with the more knobs in order to make the acid line a bit more interesting. I like the sounds you've used/made - but that crash cymbal is super weird. It's insanely short and barely noticeable, haha - also, it sounds kinda midi-ish :) But hey, if you've only just started then you're already pretty damn good ;)

Agreed with everyone else's impressions. The line itself is hypnotic like Djeroek said, but the progression is way too slow for me. Had to skip around a bit tbh. I think I got the vibe of what you were going for though, keep working at it. Steal that acid line and reuse it elsewhere :D

I agree it needs more depth, something to keep you interested, but happy with the overall progression.

Off topic slightly but making simple, hooky tunes is a real art form and something I’m really interested in.

You're very correct with that statement. I think it's a bit of an art and a bit of a science, but there's probably a touch of magic thrown in as well.

Acid and reverb 

From 5:30 onwards its really hypnotic. Keep working and experimenting dude. 

Finally finished this. If anyone remembers the 1st version (this is the 3rd) they’ll notice how none of the original remains. (Sorry, my ocd forces me to only keep finished tracks in my SC acc lol)

Anyways, much happier with it now, I really like the atmospheres in it now.
