never heard of fabric live but this sounds intriguing, what are the most interesting ones on there?

...so this is just a curated series of mixes, for various genres or whatever? I'm guessing everyone's hyped 'cause the artists may include unreleased tunes too right?

i never understood pressing commercial mixes as physical releases.  i can see the appeal of unreleased tracks, mixes from artists who dont normally dj (as in this case), or an expected level of quality.  but then releasing it as a 4lp

Gerd Janson's fabric 89 is highly recommended too.

The David Rodigan one is my fave

Seconded Shackleton. I also enjoy Pangaea's, Calibre's, Four Tet's. 

And yeah I'm hoping for some unreleased stuff as well. At least one of the long sought after Burial's dubs would be a treat.

Either way I'm excited, both have great taste and influences.

Yeah I think they've only pressed a handful of them to vinyl. I imagine it's also difficult getting the licensing to release the full uncut tracks. That's why I'm hopeful for some unreleased gems from these two on there.

The Steffi one (fabriclive94) is a cracking mix.

 

Steffi is Fabric94, not fabriclive.... but yes, it is excellent.

Surgeon, Doc Martin, Shackleton, all great in the fabric series.  Really enjoyed the recent Sasha effort too.

*edit* this starts as a pretty fun old school hardcore mix before moving into world music rhythms and (yep) Jlin footwork
