I acquired a rhythm ace back in the day. It was kinda cool

All beats were presets but you could effect the volumes of each drum

It looks like they go for a couple hundred dollars nowadays

I recently discovered the "Long Ambients 1: Calm. Sleep." album he released back in 2016. That album is pretty fucking good.

Thanks for the info, somehow missed this too. Actually, Hotel Ambient was the last Moby thing I was really into years back, beautiful ambient stuff.

The Hammond Auto-Vari 64 is still one of my absolute favorite drum machines.

Tubbutec sells a universal MIDI retrofit that would work with almost all of the preset-only machines out there, too, so these are potentially way more useful than they were just a couple years ago.

Also this is a nice gesture, I hope he does his homework and chooses a charity that doesn't keep 90% of the money that's donated to them.  A lot do.

Quite a prolific chap it seems, I've never cared for him really.
