auxien
There was a thread from about a month ago in EKT Gen about bigger racks for synths, some of the Ikea options discussed had smaller versions that might work for a desktop? It sort of depends on what you're trying to do basically...some of the cheap stands are still taking up a ton of space, but they angle the machines better. If you're trying to get them mostly off the desktop, then that's a different thing. I'm using one of these https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mount-It-MI-3352LTMN-Laptop-Desk-Stand-and-Monitor-Mount-Full-Motion-Height-A-/152952826756?hash=item239cb2eb84 for my monitor screen and my Push, it's very sturdy and solid and expandable, leaves my desktop mostly free for actual synths :) Not sure if the Digitakt and Digitone would fit on the stand together? There are different size options available for mounts if I'm not mistaken. Elektronauts might be a good place to start hunting, quick search gave me this thread: https://www.elektronauts.com/t/tip-for-us-users-looking-for-a-dt-ah-or-dn-stand/58013 Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide auxien's signature Hide all signatures / b c / m a s t o d o n / b l o t / Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/96048-desktop-synth-racks/#findComment-2679224 Share on other sites
pcock
im more looking to get some vertical action on the go to clear up space. ideally if i could get the pedals and the keyboard above the elektron boxes that would be great. that thread looks good though, scrawling through it now. user
I think it would be difficult to find an efficient pre-made rack for this situation. In this case I'd want something that allows the elektrons to be angled backwards a bit to take care of the cables sticking out the top and then try to get the pedals right behind them vertically sticking out to the front a bit, maybe with a plank that has that super heavy duty velcro and perhaps a little ledge for support then I'd have the keystep on the desk in front of the little rack but that's my personal preference as I'd find it sitting too high above everything else. But I can't think of a rack that would allow you to do that. Do the elektrons have some sort of mounting option on the botttom? Maybe you can get one of those metal music stand plates that have holes in them and somehow tie-wrap and velcro the whole lot to that and then stand it up against something, put something heavy in front to keep it from going anywhere. Edit: Ah just read you want it on the go. Makes my suggestions even more pointless.
