For something the size of a Volca you can get a REALLY nice Monoprice hard case for under $20 USD

I've been using these for a few years.  I've had a couple actual name brand Pelican cases (secondhand) over the years and there's no noticeable difference in quality.  I swear by these things.  Only down side is the foam inserts are a little softer than I'd like.  For a small piece like the Volca that's not an issue, for the Octatrack I glued the foam pieces together with contact cement and then glued felt around the sides of the hole where the OT sits, which seems to be more than enough to keep the foam from compressing if the OT is in the case for a while.  I kept my x0xb0x (which is a bit heavier than a Volca) in one for over a year while I wasn't using it and the foam didn't compress at all.

Absolutely rock solid and waterproof, miles better than the dedicated Volca cases I've seen. You could hit it off the side of a boat into the ocean with a baseball bat and then fish it out and whatever is inside will be fine.

This one should be big enough to hold a Volca plus a power supply.
