Soundscape/club set at TodaysArt

Part of my soundscape/club set 1,5 month ago at TodaysArt, The Netherlands. Focussed on sound development and constant variation with micro textures and aggressive, resonating percussion. It was part of an AV set, but as it's soundcloud.. just picture glitchy lines in a dark basement, with a wall of speakers....

Wander how you guys like it! Also the timing and the mix. Gotta put it loud though, it's not mastered.

Thank you ;)

Made the materials in Ableton, with like lots of granulating, stretching, micro-edits, resonators..

Oh and a bit of Billie Holiday

Good stuff man, heard this a little while ago on SC and was impressed. Remember thinking it was one of the best things i had heard on there recently. Sorry i don't have any other feedback at the moment, will try to relisten sometime soon.

Very cool. Is it all synthesized based from the stock stuff in Ableton? Like Operator?

Reminds me quite a bit of Dadub, heard of them? They also go for the not 4/4 techno black and white thing.

No never heard of them, but like it so far! Inspiring sounds.

Yeah some sounds are from the operator, but a lot of it is done with Henke's granulator and the Kaivo. Micro-editing field recs too.

The granulator is really good, free as well!

Dis you master the track yourself?

Yeah it's great, just so clear and easy. Check out Grainery and Grain Mill aswell :)

It's not really mastered yet. Just spend a long time on mixing it, and like to keep the heavy dynamics as they are I guess. (Beat part could be louder though)

When I discovered Kaivo it truly made me wet my pants. It's such a cool synth, it's hard to make it sound bad

Will definitely check out the other plug-ins you've mentioned.

Do you know SpecOp?

Ooh sounds promising this SpecOp! Wanna delve more into spectral transformations, and this looks like a great tool (together with Michael Norris' Soundmagic, check it!)

All the granular devices I mentioned are maxforlive though, so hope you got the Suite.
