AFX merch has always been a difficult subject, what's the reason? Stuff inspired by videos seems to be instant-accepted/liked, but -> is there a lack of creativity or it just don't lend itself to commercialization?

What I wanted to say here was not questioning on why there isn't much official merchandize (that of course depends on the will of interested parties) 

But there's not even unofficial merchandise t-shirts and stuff. Aphex Twin is a really famous name and usually you can find tons of unofficial stuff related to artists that big. 

Some time ago there was a thread with some unofficial IDM t-shirts and the AFX one was super cool (with some sort of manga style draw) and everyone here seemed to like it

Maybe the reason is that unofficial merchandize usually finds its marketplace at gigs exits (at least in Europe) and Aphex doesn't do systematicm tours as other bands or rock-related artists
