T3551ER
Took a break from studying to test out some of boscomac reaktor stuffs on the new computer (which are awesome and really should not be free at all). Nothing fancy, but pleased w/ how it came out - first track on new laptop, first track of 2019. Gonna be a good year. Mozex
Very nice made, I like it all. All instruments fit togheter well and it has nice progression. This is clearly a song that does not need any drums at all. So you did a good job leaving them out. UnaPeaks
I really enjoyed this track. the way the other instruments move around the piano and add little details is really nice. I also agree that it doesnt need drums at all! But a version using more electronic instruments would also be really interesting, with the piano part on synth keys Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/96345-anne/#findComment-2693215 Share on other sites

Guest
Great piece. Gorgeous melodies. When I put it on, the Laura Palmer pic of your profile combined with the opening of this song took me right to the Twin Peaks theme. Badalamenti is so great! After the opening, though, the song went in a different direction. Really great piece throughout. Kind of reminded me of this in a good way (but different tonally and not derivative): By the way, do you like the piano composer Erik Satie? Your piece also made me think of his tunes. So, basically, any comparison to the 'Phex is pretty much (for me) the highest compliment - so nothing but appreciation here. It's funny, my wife has been bugging me to learn the Gymnopedie's but I keep putting it off - very dreamy/ethereal stuff. Oh, btw, this Badalamenti track from the Twin Peak TR is pretty ace if you like this sort of stuff: Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/96345-anne/#findComment-2693522 Share on other sites

If anything the piano could stand to be more realistic, like maybe if it was played on a not quite pristinely tuned piano recorded using a microphone. Very nice. T3551ER
Ta rhmilo. Someday I will have an actual piano (grew up in a house with a sweet, old, baby grand) - recently realized how different the feel is when I got a chance to sit down and play one at work. Something . . . palpable about it. Miss it for sure. If a mod happens to read this, can you change the title of this thread to "T3 Tracks"? Thinking I should follow suit w/ other folks and just make one thread with all tunes in it.
