Well excited for this, the first two volumes (UK then Europe) were essential.

Interesting. I was unaware of the series - I might pick this up (and the first two if available still).

yep unmixed compilations. Usually rare stuff, out of print, demos etc.

The UK edition got a reprint so it should be available - fantastic compilation and the chap who researched / conpiled these posts on watmm occasionally (he promoted the previous albums)

Update.

This is a fantastic collection btw.

Some real gems on each disc, taking in early electro, noise, the bare bones of techno, pop, electronica.  Each disc has a different "feel" so its not a random selection.

For some reason I always thought of America "slow" on the takeup of electronic music, but this document proves greatly otherwise.
