Excellent!  His collaborative albums with Masayoshi Fujita and Triosk (the latter which sounds more in line with this one) are some of my favorite albums

also, someone should change the thread title - the guy's name is JELINEK, not jelenik

this is more about the percussion than jelinek's contributions, which are often pretty subtle, very nice though. I had forgotten about jelinek until I heard about this release so have been checking out his last few releases recently, the Fujita stuff is really good.

yeah johansson is a fucking legend, look forward to listening to this.

la nouvelle pauvreté is still my favourite jelinek release. heavily underrated this one imho

 

Listened to this yesterday, really great. My only knitpick is it appears to be one long track which they did a fade out/fade in to split up over the sides of the vinyl. I would've preferred the digital to be one track without the fades.

I agree, I love that one. The Exposures Lost Recordings follow-up is great too. Must be outtakes from that album,but I think they're just as good. I'd you get a chance to get the physical release, the liner notes are hilarious. Has track-by-track breakdowns describing the history of The Exposures and how the pieces were "performed". I'll type out some of them here after I get home.

i have a few of the farben 12"s, the only physical releases i have from jelinek. but they sound amazing - clicks n' cuts and a bit of crackle really compliment one another.
