Watched that Netflix flat earth documentary last night. These people are hopelessly unaware of themselves.

The scariest part was when they showed they have flat earth dating sites.

these damn flat earthers need to get a hobby or something. 

i always figured it was 99% a dumb internet in-joke that somehow rolled into the mainstream and now has a small minority of conspiracy nutters thinking it's legit.

Turns out that the flat earth nonsense is a result of people misinterpreting the Azimuthal equidistant projection map as an actual picture of the earth:

(that's where the whole 'earth is surrounded in ice' thing comes from)

Can't wait for one of these flat earthers to get a hold of a jet and head for the ice wall, but then get confused when they notice they've landed in Cuba four separate times.
