A Duck in a Tree Listening Club

So obv inspired by spans Planet Mu Listening Club thread.
 
I've been going trough :zoviet*france:'s a duck in a tree podcast and it has been rlly quite magical, alot of rlly rlly good stuff I would have never heard any other way. So I'd like to share it w u guys!
 
So since it's an ongoing weekly podcast I was thinking of doing two podcasts a week from the very start until we catch up n then keep going w the weekly shcedule.
 
First I'd like to know if anyone is interested at all? 
 
I'd probably post em on wednesday and sunday to offset spans schedule.
 
We'd be starting with 2012-07-14 | beta 1 .

some of the most refined compiling of tracks out there & a wicked entertainment hub in itself, the dedication involved is clearly the result of many years spent listening to & hunting for quality music.....art may be subjective but this is a cut above overall

the tracklistings might be a good start, cos the spectrum of audio so far have been relentless, only problem has been finding the time to process it all & i'm waaaay behind

Robbie M has left, so owt Zoviet France is all good generally especially these shows & their varied focus points, i just wish Richard H Kirk would do something similar

Been an avid follower of the Duck in a Tree (also it took me some time to get the duckinatree pun)

naturally I was lead here after Z*F fell apart

this dude has some interesting obscure sources for musics

his early mixes had a bit of theme going in each, that's what I really dig

dont worry about stepping on my 'schedule', I'd prefer for people to talk about whatever whenever in there also nobody's posting anyway shoutout stepheng and the people who do post

all good then, i'll be posting the first one later today :)

Another big ZF fanboy here. Travelled to newcastle to see them a few years ago in a beautiful elliptical church. I kept up with ADIAT for about a year and tune in every now and then. Its a real goldmine of ambient music and field recordings! I'll try and keep up here too.

if you read 'documentary' kind of low-fi, duck-in-a-tree is phonetically close, let's say

I was intrigued by the bird recording in the tracklist, and it turned out really nice, fits right in there. Overall really enjoyed the whole thing, this is gonna do just fine for me to get into ambient/droney stuff again.

from the last couple, Diane Rogerson was married to S Stapleton & it's always a treat hearing her voice emerge out the ether, hadn't read the tracklisting so a sweet surprise, well worth crate digging for her work

lastly, Moondog can always be trusted to be Moondog, he seems to make cyclical appearances in mixes from folks all over the gaff down through the years & even though he was clearly a loon his voice makes me chuckle, Popul Vuh = jizz, CDB, Lull,
