Help Test/Debug Mentions

A new feature on the forum is Mentions, where you can er, mention someone in posts by typing the @ symbol and then a user's name and then hitting tab or clicking the name that comes up - for example, @chaosmachine. This will let the user know they've been mentioned in a post.

Thing is, right now it appears only Mods and Admins can use the feature, and the vendor is working with us to try and find out why nobody else can seem to do so. So, here's what I'd like you all to do in this thread:

1. Reply to this thread, and try using a Mention using the steps above.
2. If you cannot use it (you get an error - commonly folks see "INVALID_URL" in the lower left corner of the post box), then remove the offending Mentions, and post that you could not use the Mention (and provide any other detail that might be helpful)
3. If you CAN use Mentions, please post with Mentions in it. That's it!

yeah every time i try to use it in a post i end up with an empty post... then i refresh the page and the post comes up without the mention...

invalid_url too. tried on phone and laptop, tried making my profile not be "0% complete", tried mentioning a mutual follow as well as a not-following person, beep boop beep
