Brilliant album. Here's another granular synthesis classic:

Basic channel is amazing but I don’t think it’s micro engineered. I think tons of time was spent doing live blends on the mixer, and the original idea put through many iterations. So even though one synth track might have tons of modulations going, it isn’t touched once it gets recorded, so in a sense it’s the opposite of microcomposed music.

to me microengineered means 50 tracks with 20 automation lanes each
