From the start I LOVE the acid riff.....think the kick drum may be pitched down a little too low though, getting a bit lost in the overall mix IMO, wicked bubbling vibe throughout the whole track - really like the change around 1:20, with the bit of reverb on the kick - that's pure class and a lovely accent to the track as a whole. Nice hi-hats, but they seem to be lacking a little high-end? Could just be my headphones, but I think sould do with some EQing....Last third is really nice with the little kind of middle eight bit with no acid. Yeah, it's another acid belter Miss Llewellyn! Nice work.

Sounds phat. Sounds like you're going for some low octave acid action. Feelin' like it need more percussive action after about 1 miinute to really get the boogie goin'. Feelin' like I need some pads or summin to kick in after say 30 secs to help with the vibe. Overall am feelin this. Mmm nice percussion around 1.30 mins. Yeah some pads would make a nice addition as you've fundamentally got a pretty fuckin phat groove goin'. I could boogie to this for sure but just to take it to the next level some pads would have been real sweet. Nice shit - very dancable!!

i'm not completely sold on the kick either, but i'm only listening through a crap wave radio at work, so who knows. other than that, it's fab. i'm assuming there's some compression and eq on the 303, right? isn't there usually a big differential between the volume with the res down and the res up? this is recorded well and does not suffer from that problem.

sweet acid goodness, had me taping my foot and nodding my head once again.

i love the main acid line, and the bass drum sounds pretty damn good too me.

thanks, it's very rough, as have all my acids! but i'm trying too loosen up, as my previous musics was way too overproduced. getting back to a more visceral style.

re: compression. i use a valve preamp and eq on the 303 which compresses range nicely!

i'm getting hold of a devilfish today! they look pretty ugly, but sound sweet :grin:

although mine won't have midi in!

Mosca, just out of interest mate - what sort of music do you actually LIKE? You always slag everything else off and say it's rubbish etc, but A: that's not really in the WATMM spirit is it?, B: you never say anything constructive and C: who the fuck are you to write something off totally the way you usually do - you could be wrong you know....

my stuff's easy to find - do a search for acid hooligan on P168 part 1 (i won that with some acid madness - this was a while back mind you)

there's some of my shite over at retropublik.com (took most of it down tho)

i like music done well, fieldtriqp, modex, assym head, loaf eye.

i should add IMO to all my posts. I'm glad you all like this track but as i said the drums sound afwul (both production and the sounds used), the acid line does nothing interesting and the track is pretty generic.

the spirit of WATMM is to tell the truth and not bum everyone who makes half arsed musics! or at least it was the last time i checked.

it's this kind of wanky 'we're all great' attitude that's made YLC the pile of shite it is. It never used to be like this!

I think this is pretty good, its just minimal acid, I found there to be enough tweaking going on in the lines to keep it funky and dancable , and thats a nice mashup of Steve Pointdexter's 'Work That Motherfucker' track on the clap and vocals. Yeah I spotted that.

i don't think it's the best i've done so far, the drums are pretty raggedy and

these are only jams you have to remember, the whole point of spending 30mins to make a track for me is to get away from too much programming, i'm a firm believer in actually performing the music rather than just programming it. (although i do editing in ableton after the jam is done!!)
