Bad Vilbel = Bowed Vibell?

i've been sleuthing around the gear the ae brothers were using during the mid 90s and i came across some sample discs that were used with the ensoniq samplers they used (eps 16(+), asr10). note that the 3rd disc on the second collection on this page has a sound called "Bowed Vibell." i'm getting strong "Bad Vilbel" from this...

I actually grew up near Bad Vilbel, which always made the name of the track quite weird/cool/funny.

@Alcofribas Interesting, but it would be so strange for them to come up with the "Bad Vilbel' association for that (which it is regardless, of course). Back then I always imagined they came through there sometime, somehow, and just used the name for a track they were working on at the time; thought they might've found it funny because of the "bad" prefix (which actually signifies the town as a watering place).

Yeah, too good to be true probably, just the reveries of one hessian boy ...

Edit: nvm, like most things in life, it's in the AAA. Says Sean:

Which doesn't rule out inspiration from a sample disk, ofc.

got some sweet love out of that thing... but then i realized the lack of hands and cheekbones... bjork's face was never going to appear. it was obvious when i put on my blue/red glasses that i had a completely different prop, which didn't even know my name.

i had many tender evenings with it, but really it's destined for the skip. you can have it if you want, full shipping or petrol money. just clean out the bull foam (also i wrote bjork/sugarcube lyrics in magic marker on it a whole bunch of times, mainly underneath)
