Pretty much, yeah.

I feel like he got way over the top and almost like a caricature with his whiney high pitch delivery — started to get annoying.  This release seems like he has calmed down finally and is just rapping.  So I’m pretty excited for this one.

Both singles are low-key bangers so far... read a good interview I'd have to find again where he talked about his outlook going into this album. He's sobered up significantly (not completely, it's Danny but compared to his wilder days definitely) and he seems more focused and driven. This is shaping up to be his best effort yet. eager to hear the whole thing

I think Danny himself was even aware of that, and acknowledged it in the interview I read. This isn't the same one I was thinking of but he talks about the influence Q-tip had on him making this album and it seems he helped Danny find his groove again.

Loving the two singles so far.  Can really hear q-tip influence on the beats and song structure.  Low key bangers just about sums it up.

i find danny's flow on these two singles hard to follow. maybe it will grow on me. dirty laundry beat is great however.

Shit put me right to sleep the other day.  Deleted it off my computer.  He hasn’t made a banging track since Old.  I think the death of him was Paul White.  God are his beats boring.
