Can't go wrong with the album Tomorrow Comes the Harvest by techno pioneer Jeff Mills (with Fela Kuti's drummer Tony Allen on live drums - he's Nigerian so that's world, no?) I like this song the best from it:

Listen to the album Re:ECM by Max Loderbauer and Ricardo Villalobos.  I'd post a link but unfortunately it isn't available to stream anywhere.  It's a wonderfully jazzy techno double album comprised of remixes of ECM's recording catalog.
