Digeridoo versions all different?!?!

After getting Classics, I thought i'd get some info on the Digeridoo singles. At first I just saw a CD and a Vinal version, the only differences being the CD version replacing "Phloam" with "Analogue Bubblebath 1". Bit now i've come across all sorts of complications, track names being wrong, a belgian version, Isopropanol???

Could someone please explain to me all the different versions of Digeridoo and what is different about them? Also do the songs on Classics match the track names? :confused:

All the single releases of Digeridoo are the same; you've got the R&S UK and Belgian versions, and the several reissues (including the last one recently which corrects the spelling errors). The rarest one is the CD version, with the Belgian version following a close second (on vinyl).

Only the Belgian versions have the correct tracklisting, and the UK versions have Analogue Bubblebath 1 on them.

So they've all got Digeridoo, Flap Head, Phloam and Isoprophlex on them, just an incorrect tracklisting?

I always wondered about the regular version and the live version on classics.. they sounds damn near identicle

RS9201 (12" vinyl - 1992 Release)

A1 Digeridoo

A2 Flap Head (only release where it is spelled correctly and fades out at the end whereas the UK releases do not)

B1 Phloam

B2 Isoprophlex

UK Releases:

RSUK12CD (5" CD in slimline jewel case)

1 Digeridoo

2 Analogue Bubblebath 1

3 Flaphead

4 Phloam

RSUK12 (12" vinyl, different cover than Belgian release)

A1 Didgeridoo (Analogue Bubblebath 2)

A2 Analogue Bubblebath 1

Also, Classics is being reissued on CD and vinyl 24 July and Selected Ambient Works 85-92 on 1 September on CD only

i'm really confused as to whether or not these versions are going to be any different from the originals.

No, they're not - I hope they do remaster them (SAW2 had a horrible CD master; dunno about the vinyl), and not scan the existing artwork but make new artwork from the original film negatives.

Does anyone own any of these R&S reissues to confirm/deny this? I haven't bought any due to me owning too many versions of Digeridoo already.

How come Digeridoo and Digeridoo (The Aboriginal Mix) are so similar? Usually Aphex Twin remixes things to the point they sound nothing like the original, but these have exactly the same song structure and everything!

AB2 was technically a whitelabel, and was released before the actual Digeridoo single was put out by R&S - Rabbit City put it out due to demand after people hearing it on old pirate radio stations in the UK and wanting to buy it.

I personally like the two untitled tracks off of AB2 more than I have ever liked Digeridoo.
