Out now, most excited I've been by new Ultrademon in a while.

  Quote

"Lilium Kobayashi's current sound is gnarlier and fuzzier than the seapunk aesthetic which she broke through with in 2014. Chamber Music is less spacious, less clean, although still full of memorable angular hooks." - The Wire (Sam Davies)

Written across a year and a half, mostly in Tokyo but also in Kyoto, ‘Chamber Music’ is a deeply personal story from start to finish. During that time Ultrademon (real name Lilium Kobayashi) was dealing with emotions of regret, loss, pain, tones of domination and submission, not to mention listening mostly to Metal. As a result, the album is very dark although ultimately triumphant. In the album Kobayashi utilizes field recordings, live performances, as well as digital production.
