The trio ascendant (Leo)/Sun sign (Leo)/1st house deals with a powerful creative force and Venus introduces a shade of music making (Venus symbolizing the voice) and gives a sense of emotional beauty to what is created; there is probably more of his voice in his music than it is possible to imagine, in more or less disguised forms (sampling, distortion, coding, etc). Venus also deals with one’s own image projected outside, in a certain way the ability to seduce, convince, grab attention; in this sense it is curious to notice the playful use of his own face in record covers (the symbolic representation of Venus suggests a hand holding a mirror). However Mercury in Virgo brings its dose of cold conscience and does not allow it to develop into narcissism.

The axis 1-7 (Sun-Leo - Mars/Aquarius) is fundamental and structural. Aquarius being the ruler of electricity and everything frequency related (the 3/3 air sign, about to take over the ending Pisces era, its symbolic representation a pair of saw-toothed waves) it acts as the complementary pole of a strongly music oriented axis. The male pole (Mars - the crafter, the master of technique) and female pole (Venus - the cult of beauty, the sensibility) are harmoniously balanced and firmly subjected to the will of supreme creator Leo.

Mars in Aquarius defines tendencies for an independent, revolutionary character, approaching everything in life from a custom, "doing it my way" point of view.

Another pole of great influence is defined by the Moon/Cancer/12th house trio. The last 30° of the zodiac are about transcendance. Music, essentially the most transcedant form of art, is also the most abstract, the least related to the physical dimension. Being in the 12th gives the Moon-Cancer pair a strong oneiric energy., which expresses itself in dreaming, most probably on a daily basis, fertile in ideas and meaning for his music. The ascendant being between the Sun and the Moon, meaning between conscious and unconscious life, the creative force oscillates between day and night dreaming.

A great deal of time spent at home (Moon = daily life, routine; Cancer = home in a wide sense, womb in a deep sense, the place of creation). Since the 1-7 axis gives music making an almost sacred dimension to his life, home = music studio, all kind of distinguishable aspects becoming irrelevant, even troublesome. As a live performer he must be quite picky when it comes to installing the setup, which has to be done in a way that feels "comfortable" and tightly fit, as if it were an extension of the studio space (home). Mars needs this, otherwise full control cannot be taken.

Mercury at a 90° angle to Saturn in Gemini brings another important dimension  (Saturn rules the old age, the wise, the solitude and seclusion, while in its turn Gemini rules the teenage years and learning period of youth) making for  the kind of person who spends his youth years engaged in activities others tend to consider advanced, adult like, while the other boys can be found outside chasing girls. Not that this boy has trouble with girls. It’s only that he cannot really find the time. But they will come, Leo being the supreme symbol of love (in the metaphysical dimension = universal love) that the Sun will activate in its full glory.

Mercury (= communication and exchange, its symbolic representation is the winged helmet of Hermes) in Virgo, the sign ruling critical sense, precision, makes for someone seemingly modest, obsessive (positively) with detail and the 90° angle with Saturn seems to suggest trouble in keeping concentrated as well as difficulty expressing intelectual thought. However Mercury takes predominance in this relation and is harmoniously more powerful in Virgo, and collaborating with the mighty Leo comes in to sublimate all tensions, transform, refine them into music that is a perfectly polished diamond, through precisely methodic craft.

There is less of a universal spiritual dimension to his music and more of a personal one, highly psychic. The 1st house being the expression of "ME", it translates for him as an expression of his inner workings and explorations, as the answer (not the solution) to his own labyrinth of thoughts and emotions.

The Sun-Moon / Mars-Venus axis, as well as the ascendant between day and night forces, reflect powerfully on his music, which has a tendency to (subtly) oscillate between extremes, from mad metallic tones of rebellion (Come to Daddy) to warm lullaby like pads (Flim) in a single EP. We can speak of duality, which is most evident in Druqks, that ends up being expressed in unresolved polarity. The interchange between the highly energetic schizophrenia and delicate piano that seeks equilibrium and rebuilding of energy, are yet a manifestation of the male-female polarity. While the second are delicate but bold, the first are ones intimidate but reveal a core made of fragile melodies, protected in an apparent complexity, as in the Yin-Yang wheel, where the dark region always has a bright spot and complementarily the white one keeps a dark spot.

Mention should be made of the water element (the core element of emotions, of deep connections) prominent all over this theme. He is most probably a secret admirer of the music of Debussy or Drexciya (another theme filled with Water-Cancer energy).

The fact that the works that are most able transcend this unresolved polarity like MELODIES FROM MARS (to this day unreleased) or 28 ORGAN (only recently released) as well as the positions of so called « heavy » planets, suggest that his favorite works (=best) might have never been publicly heard.

The energy of the mighty Leo is inexhaustible and Richard has no choice but to get better each new day. Above all, his machine made music transcends the technological barriers at the end of the Kali Yuga cycle.
