david1806 Posted April 25, 2020 Report Share Posted April 25, 2020 Hi all....I hope everyone is safe and well in these times.....So, I am probably going to get Reason Bass in the near future, but in the meantime, is there an instrument that will let me emulate bass guitar sounds e.g. dead notes/slap/pop/hammer on-off.....? Maybe a sample somewhere...? chim Posted April 25, 2020 Report Share Posted April 25, 2020 For free stuff your best bet is probably General MIDI 'Slap bass 1' Scarbee rickenbacker is the only I've had experience with myself, a kontakt lib that sounds brilliant in a full mix, but it's the same price as Reason bass and you could just as well get a cheap second hand bass... I'm sure there are slap bass kontakt libraries as well, probably cheaper but all those details are going to ramp up the price. Maybe put an FM patch through an amp sim?
