Pseudo Chords on the Korg Volca Bass!!!!! :O

Recommended Posts

Okay guys was experimenting with the Arpeggiator in Live just now and discovered you can play Pseudo Chords if you crank the Arp up to 1/64 and beyond. Sounds frikkin' awesome. Turns a very simple mono synth into something quite different!!!!

Chiptune musicians have used this trick since the 1980s, in order to get something like a chord out of a monophonic tracker channel

Yeah I know its clever!!!! You can essentially play as many notes as possible and you get wicked chords!!!

Nice! Yeah this kind of thing is fun to do in trackers.

I knew it was possible. I just didn't believe a monosynth as simple as the Volca Bass could do it. I bet it sounds awesome on a better monosynth.

By the way that whole track is the Volca Bass just layered!!!
