Roland TR727 - anyone got one?

I'm interested in getting one not now but sometime in the future. Anyone got one and if so how do you find it? I know they're pretty rare!!

AFAIK they're identical to the 707 other than the sample ROM.

One just went for £260 on Ebay which is a damn good price that said it wasn't the cleanest of models I've seen lol.

You've got a 707 though yeah? Couldn't you just load the 727 samples into a sampler and trigger it from the 707?

they're cool! totally different sound set to the 707, all latin percussion sounds. excellent conga and timbale.

can be warped into something very far away from "latin" with creative use of effects.

looks wicked sat side-by-side with a 707.

Yeah I hear that its definitely a differently sort of vibe but I'm really into my oldskool digital drum machines. Once I get space we'll have to see eh!! You got one anyways?

nah not got one, wouldn't mind one though but to be honest need to get rid of some gear rather than buy any more...
