Yeah I helped film it*, and I was the "hand model" for a few of the closeups 

* only in the sense that I was there to press record and do a tiny bit of direction.

Nice.

On a side note, MaxYMiser, the most powerful Atari ST tracker of all time, got its first update in 4 or 5 years recently and now finally supports HD mode so you can use it on any VGA monitor with an adapter cable!

The downside is that there are so many features now that it has MIDI latency, so you actually have to manually test and set an offset if you want to use it with MIDI gear.

I had a Stereo Master back in the day. That, OctaMED 5, and a stack of rave vinyl was my original setup, and it was fucking awesome.

Got any MODs you can share? Would love to hear them

Yeah share some tunes man.

lol those tunes are long gone... talking about 30 odd years ago. mostly recorded to cassettes which I lost years ago unfortunately :(

Pretty much an identical setup here back in the day
 

Apart from my gabba kick drum samples (mostly from Mokum 12’s ) i had some 303 samples that were a long tone with the filter slowly being opened. You then programmed Sample start offsets which allowed you to simulate filter tweaks in your patterns. They were so precious that I actually had a backup floppy disk of the sounds.

There was none of this cloud backup witchcraft either, you had to keep the disks in a brittle plastic lockable tray thing in a cupboard..... real backups

lol I had a similar 303 sample and kind of did this too, but instead of programming offsets I literally cut the long sample into lots of smaller ones with each smaller sample having a bit more of the open filter each time until fully open. could then sequence them to give a pseudo filter tweak - actually sounded OK as well from memory. plus i got a very practical lesson in how cutoff works

Working like that is still hella inspiring in 2020.
