Based on Icelandic media a car with a single passenger (later identified as Árni Grétar Jóhannesson) crashed into water at the Reykjavík harbour on NYE; Árni died a few days later in the hospital. See here, here and here (Google translated from Icelandic to English). He wrote this last April:
