Soloman Tump
https://pinch-tectonic.bandcamp.com/album/reality-tunnels Have been craving a new Pinch album for a while. The Sherwood collab a few years back left me feeling a little flat. I still see the Shackleton collab as a high benchmark... After a second play through, this new LP however feels like a label compilation though. There is grime, some amen breaks, a few techno tracks, a few dub-step-ish rollers, an ambient bridge... something that sounds like Martyn... etc.... Tempo and style is all over the place. But whilst all good tunes, it doesn't really feel like a cohesive album to me. A nice showcase all the facets of Pinch's influences though.
