Good news. That interview is nice too. Two observations.

-He looks more and more like Walter Shobchak

-Nice track before the interview. Veevel: procastination.

Damn this is great.

I haven't really liked any of his albums since the (classic) trilogy, but this stands with them easily.

Having said this, I haven't listened to anything since Steingarten. Now I'm listening to Wald and that's great too.

First impressions after one listen, this is a damn fine album by Betke. Smoother but still having that classic clackety Pole sound. Great, a highlight of 2020 for sure.

Still listening to this all the time, I really really love this album and it fits the mood I've been in lately better than just about anything else. It's beautiful in an emotionally ambiguous way that's really inviting. Sounds so lush on headphones too. Lots of ear candy with sounds popping around exploring the stereo space, but in a way that's subtle and doesn't detract from the softness of the mix.

A good reminder for me to relisten. Wasn’t blown away with it at first, but I probably did not give it a fair chance.
