That's funny, in my opinion Port Rhombus is a reasonably sad track. In my opinion the melody sounds like you are looking back on times when life was better. It's melancholy to me.

I'd say Journey To Reedham is the happy Squarepusher track

absolutely stunning track, alas it tends to make me rather melancholic than happy, maybe even more now that mr. hollis' gone...

i always just pictured birds in the sun like the album art so it always made me happy but i totally see what you mean. a lot of post rock feels very melancholic

OK, I need to make a disclaimer here: I'm not a fan either. It just makes me happy. Two diff things. Very diff!

^^^ And Wham! and Stevie Wonder are also very good at the happy department.

Mouse on Mars criminally underrepresented in this thread, they've got so many great high-serotonin jams

also gotta say The RDJ Album has always been one of the most genuinely euphoric albums in the world to me. the whole thing sounds like the kind of joy you have encountering new things as a child and exploring them with that youthful sense of playfulness and wonder

Most music makes me happy but this track always makes me grin, its silly but well produced and catchy.
