Huerco S. - Plonk

Looks like Mr Huerco S just put three old releases on Bandcamp today that have not been there before.  Haven't had a chance to check them out yet but looking forward to it.

Plonk VI is so good. Can't wait for this album

Dont really know this lads stuff that well but heard the preview tracks & was looking forward to this...First listen did not dissapoint! Awesome stuff...

An Ae vibe going on here for me as well,not to take anything away from him as defo got its own sound..looking forward to listening more to this & think I need to check out his older stuff more

the guest feature is a bit of curveball - the album could do with out it - but its fine and an interesting track nonetheless.

closing track will take you places.

Decently strong if understated album but the Sir E.U. feature on the penultimate track took away from it for me

Listening right now and yes, very oversteppy, pretty sure I'll buy this one , thanks watmm.

I've only had 2 listens, but its nice. The 2nd last track is interesting, but the last one stands out the most to me.
I hold the second Huerco S and first Pendant albums to such a high standard that i'm a bit of a hardass when it comes to judging this.

That third track... beautiful.

yeah - that’s a thing popular electronic musicians do when they get bored apparently.

the track is a pretty big stain on an otherwise near perfect album. adds nothing and generally takes away from the album as a whole experience. 

but it can be skipped.

My opinion on this hasn't changed since the previews and track 9 is just, well, garbage.

I can understand the Oversteps vibe as it does allude to that but I think it's more by accident than deliberate. 

I hope he still continues with the washed-out, fuzzy stuff he's well known for and doesn't try to become become the next Actress. 

Agreed. Just reminded me of some of the more generic actress stuff. I love actress so that's saying something. Not hating. I love this guys other stuff. Ah well. Evolution of sound innit.
