Aleksi Perälä - Cycles

Cycles is my fave aleksi series. Been listening to each one with my sweet little 8 month old who is captivated by it. It's all extremely lush and I will remember my time with it for the rest of my life

Cycles 10 is actually hitting the spot at the moment. One track in particular but all the names are practically the same which makes it difficult to remember.

An all ambient one. : )

Yep, it's my favourite release of the whole series too.  Not sure what that says... ?

I've had enough Aleksi Colundi for now, bring me Ovuca Colundi.

Have been waaaaaay too overwhelmed by the release rate ever since the Colundi was just single digits, but randomly decided to check out Cycles 9 and oh my gosh it's just beautiful - The Track 3/Track 4 23 minute uber-track nearly had me in tears with the playful clonking between instruments dancing around the multiple reverb layers. Simply fantastic compositions & production !

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.

Somehow I missed these releases altogether, but spent most of the weekend listening to Unity II and Unity III. Unity III edges it slightly for me, but both are delicious.

Cycles 12 is the pinnacle of the series, both literally and figuratively. We are all blessed with colundi.

Shout outs to the saracens, musulmen and celestials.

I really like UNITY III II (5), quite a change and best of the series thus far IMHO

track 9 on Cycles 12 is great

97 tracks into the series and there's finally a great one ?

I still just add every release to the colundi playlist and throw it on random. Never disappointed. Always content. (Rarely do I have a “holy shit!!! This is the JAM” moment. But can listen for hours and continuously boppin’) never a dud but never a full on “jam”. I couldn’t give you a “favourite” Aleksi track. Maybe cuz they’re all named as numbers. And they’re all kinda samey. Sorta like Cocteau Twins, but without the unintelligible lyrics…

I have playlists of each series. But it's always great to throw on a playlist and get in the zone while working. Second track on Unity III is one of the standouts on first couple of listens.

aleksi is so good it's insane. instead of slagging off the new releases because you can't keep up, just let him keep weaving his magic and listen when you're ready.

This guy is someone's co-worker.

Coming in on monday talking about having made his 80th album with his self made healing frequencies to some boomer at the coffee machine.

Inspired by The Twelve Ornaments, a group of ancient Chinese symbols and designs associated with auspicious qualities and virtues. Aleksi Perala uses the colundi scales to heal and inspire with this specially blended collection of tracks. The power of repetition paired with the selected frequencies makes for a transcendent ambient experience.

Looks like the digital release will contain some mixes too.

👍 This is good because it means someone is going through these to pick the highlights, and also it gives some context/explanation to this series.

Hope something like this happens for Midnight Sun, Phantasia etc

I think the only other series to get a 'best of' recently was Spectrum?
