One of the things I think about a lot from the AMAs is when Sean said that him and Rob sometimes 'gate each other's tracks.' Wish he went more in depth with this. I love using gates on pads, sidechaining them to either the entire drum group or just certain element(s) of the drums, and I feel like this might have been done on carefree counter dronal (although there are no drums in that song), one of my fav AE tracks. Curious about some of the other ways that these mad beat scientists be gating

Purely guessing here but maybe they also do it on control / message level in Max.

Also, been listening to the AMA and then On The Hour again. I never knew what that I Am A Horse track is that Sean was talking about, but wouldn't be surprised if it was sampling this. Does anyone know the track he's talking about?

Yes, I forgot where in the AMA it was but iirc he was talking about early 90s there so hardcore might also mean breakbeat hardcore. But Sean talking about ScOOOOOOOtEEEEEr would be hilarious.

Yes why I think so is because it was striking him like he had heard it in another time of life and he did not talk about some small lyrics here.. 
He talk about a Hardcore kinda track were someone literally screaming like "I AM A HORSE!" 

And when I heard that scooter track I was like "yes this must be what Sean referred to."
