Surgeon - Crash Recoil [Tresor]

I've been getting really into this the past month or two. First time listening to Surgeon but I've been in a techno mood this year and this is absolutely hitting. Definitely in my top 3 or so of the year so far.

The more I listen, the more emotional connection I'm getting from it. Felt kind of austere at first and it still has that detachment but there's a ton of heart in it. The vibe kind of seems to alternate between vengeful and melancholy in a really lovely way.

Just disovered this LP, not really seriously listened to Surgeon before. Loving this; techno can be grating in its use of repetition, but this has a good amount of interest and evolving musical ideas with a given track.

Glad you're liking it. I'm going to revisit this as soon as I'm done with Monolake's Studio album.

Thanks for bumping, stellar album, all killer no filler and still gets replays here on the regular. I'd be curious to know what other good str8 techno albums y'all dig; as for recent-ish releases I'd rate Blawan's Wet Will Always Dry and Sandwell District's Feed Forward up there with this, n would love to find more for the next fix.
