chim
i used to really really like this track, but now with my overly rational musical mind i've realised what a simple note progression it is.. but i'm giving it a listen again now, and damn. it really is a good track. there is beauty in simplicity Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/10395-pete-standing-alone/page/2/#findComment-213337 Share on other sites

Tarsier, didn't you just get MHTRTC? you need to listen to it a lot more. i mean a LOT more. like 200 more times. out of all the music i own, this cd has easily received the most spins over the past 8 years, and i'm still discovering little nuances. you've only just begun. yes, and that vocal sample is awesome. i always thought he was saying "violence" nope, it goes ONE. its kind of drawn out because its slowed down abit. it is also given a fader cut tratment so it goes (phonetically) WON W- W- WONNN just the first part of the word is heard in some instances, for funkiness. and oh my god can anyone correlate this sample with the title? pete standing alone: ONE. Fredd-e: do you want me to take over the reigns, give you a hand, or are you just not getting enough fodder from the fans? No hard feelings, just curious It is in fact mentioned on my pages, altough not as extensive (i'll edit it and credit it to Joyrex): "pete standing alone is the name of a native American actor who appeared in 7 films made by the National Film Boards of Canada." if people mail me interesting new finds I'm more than happy to add them on my pages; so if you want to help by giving me new and valuable information..... you know how to contact me :-) and uhm "same bullshit everyday" .. what do you expect? you can't expect that the content on various items will constantly change; there's really no need to.. facts remain facts Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide Fredd-E's signature Hide all signatures from one source all things depend Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/10395-pete-standing-alone/page/2/#findComment-214139 Share on other sites

Morpheus
Pete Standing Alone is probably my favorite BoC track. Seriously, it is perfect is every conceivable way. The beats and texture are so awsome and crunchy. As for the "roar", I thought it was awsome the first tiem I heard it. Just something about it; it just goes so well with the rest of the song.
