So I guess this is the fabled track with the "au" sound that was responsible for their name. Amazing! And what a cool track it is. Oddly touching to partake of this piece of their origin after they've become the legends they are. Goosebumps.

Might be, yeah. iirc they said they'd been using that name on a couple of things just because they thought that it looked cool (which it does). imho it's got to do with their background in graffiti writing, where people make up words all the time, purely because they like a particular sequence of characters, not because the words mean anything.

Was it only 2 tracks on this release? 

I thought it was 4 or 5?

AFAIK no, but Sean shared a 20 sec bit of that track on mastodon. It's called MYSLB (Make YourSelf Look Bad)

Nice, he says it is straight from the tape and un-mastered. Maybe someone here could give it a go? 
How can we even keep up with his posts.. He seems like more willing to give us some old tracks now even Rob is cool

So apparently 808 state played the self titled track on one of their shows back in late 1990. Pretty neat
