Second track out. I've put in a preorder for the vinyl from Boomkat, couldn't resist.

Oh, and Juno Download has clips of all the tracks.

Very excited for the first full length by this long running duo; seeing Surgeon tonight, very excited about that, too. Maybe he'll play some stuff from this, but it might also be a live modular set, not sure

Surgeon live is always a joy - how was it?

Last time I saw him he was using the Pulsar-23 to devastating effects....

Man, I feel like so many plots have been lost over time? I guess it really is a sign of getting old but the BMB did the Underground Stage at Movement last Monday. They were channeling the early days (Throbbing Gristle/Cabaret Voltaire/punk/etc) with Tony on the triggers/CDJs and Regis going apeshit into a mic with maximum effects (feedback/full flange/reverb/etc). He was really aggressive towards the crowd but nobody did anything.

A staff photographer tried to take a picture of Regis and he included him in the show with violent pointing and wild gesticulating. The photographer was terrified 😂 In my head, I was like 'we are supposed to match the energy lads' but I feel like we're a race of terminal observers now. It may as well have been an Instagram reel but that Movement crowd is pretty diverse/different/young. It really isn't that special for them.

I think the operative word might be "young" there. younger crowds are can be a lot more listless and afraid of how they'll be perceived if they actually move and enjoy themselves at a show. ymmv of course, metal shows are different for example.

Ye, this is why I went to In Flames on the Wednesday before! 😅

My biggest struggle was not joining the circle because I could just envision some kind of sprain or strain that would have scuppered the Detroit weekend. I'm sure some youngster would have loved to do a "the future is now, old man" judo chop to my face haha

Out now in full, and it's amazing. Not as harsh and industrial as the OG BMB series, but still lovely.

This is soo much better than I had anticipated, and I'm a huge fan of them both and of BMB! I love the slow and sluggish tempos of some of the songs and it makes the hard ones even better and more effective! Regis reffered to it as a having a form of raw primal dancehall to it or something similar, and I think he's right! He also named them an absurdist space-rock duo in the press release, haha.

Bit different to what I expected but really enjoyed it..

Though speaking of Surgeon & different to what I expected, people heard the album by him & Speedy J? More industrial /drone type stuff than techno but a really interesting listen.
