I'd like to hear a new Boards of Canada album in the vein of Boards of Canada.

Too busy bird watching 🦜

A most agreeable and worthy pastime.

Not as agreeable as making tunes (and releasing them!) in my worthy opinion 😉

- Imagine a stripped down Radiohead album based around piano with light orchestral/synth textures by Johnny Greenwood. Thom Yorke trying to write choruses again. The idea of legacy bands working with someone other than their go-to producer intrigues me. Someone to shake up the formula. Sometimes it works.

- Imagine if Michael Jackson had a comeback produced by Daft Punk. I can't help but imagine what it could have been like whenever I hear some pale imitations from Pharrel or the Weeknd.

- Autechre hip hop album with MCs of their choosing. processing their vocals however they wish.

- It's hard to imagine how the Boards of Canada sound could evolve, so even just a remastered compilation of unreleased material would be really nice. Even if its like a mysterious rare tape of just their ambient interludes... I'll take anything...

Since everyone seems to have a special request for the boys, I would love to hear an Autechre EP of remixes of early acid/bleep classics, in the vein of including the Unique 3 and the monstrous Humanoid ones. Those tracks, the focus on that era in their dj mixes and recent interviews show the love.

Of course, one would be correct in arguing that reworking those roots is what they're doing already, on their level of magnitude.

Amon Tobin doing a banging beat centric Samba album. Come on man, you can do it (again).

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

Was just listening to BOC's Pete Standing Alone and if Aphex Twin made a BOC style album that would probably end up being amazing

I always thought that aphex could blow everyone out of the water back when skrillex and bro-step was taking off. Bring the insanity up a notch and show them how it's done. I think it's too late for that now but at the time I was like it would be funny as hell.

I want to see OPN do an album in the style of FSOL

Oh wait that's all his albums already FSLOL

A jungley MBM album would be neat

There's an album by Colin Potter, Andew Liles & The Hafler Trio called 3 eggs where allegedly it's each of the artists 'anonymously' doing a track in the style of the other artist. Imagine that with the featured artists - Boc does Ae, Afx does Squarepusher, Ceephax does Plaid etc....

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.

Venetian Snares ambient-adjacent album.

I love his Last Step and Poems work, and I think he could go one step further and make some amazingly interesting beatless (ish) tracks. Kinda like his take on the Oversteps album maybe?

Always wanted to hear Plaid do a bit of a hip hop thing again like Rest Proof Clockwork. Or just go nuts and do Autechre-type shit.
