wooo snares!! sounds like an early last step track transitioning into more snaresy breaks here and there, I love last step - I think the tuss comparison comes from the non 12TET, the whistly/moogy attack on the acid synth which sustains at a fixed frequency, and the shuffley beat

it's funny how he swaps between this kinda depressive tone to like that track on my so called life where he makes fun of it "here in my heart, no songbirds are singing"

I wonder if this was made between the first and second Last Step albums

To me that's like thinking every band that writes Sabbathy riffs is just ripping off Sabbath.  It's a cool style, and he's continuing down that lineage, and he's also undeniably created his own identity with it.  I hear 11/16 and think "vsnares is sure doing a vsnares there".  I immediately know it's him within half a bar, as I'm sure most here would.  Anyway, i totally get why a lot of people don't like his music, but he's one of the most unique voices in breakcore without a doubt.  He's no hack.

for sure! i respect him and his approach, there's a bit of punk attitude undercurrents and i'm always a fan of pushing for interesting approaches re: the time sig thing. i've sure done some aping of styles in my time as well. i just never really like any of the music he makes despite that. which is okay, i'm not here to shit on it, i'd say that's one of the better vsnares tracks i've ever heard...but still not a fan, and feels weird that it's sorta pivoted towards (at least in this track) a hard copy of that Aphex 00s sound, as i don't remember any of the other limited vsnares things i've heard going quite that hard into it? i could be wrong there idk

thanks for sharing. very brave of you to open up to us like this. anyone else care to share their opinions on vsnares inthis forum? this is a safe space for everyone. 

I would have wished for a tiny bit more depth and textures, I hate the speaking samples it is just so lame but It gets extra points for keeping the Last Step sound but the rest is just drums.. Good drums tho and the programing as well! For me it is a 3/5  Much better than that "mom is a speed dealer" or whatever the name is of that band he have..
