Don't know if it's been discussed here already, I remember reading on xltronic that all of the "mix" tracks on Syro were collaborations with other uncredited artists, also if I remember correctly there were theories about 1st 44 on the Collapse EP, people where speculating about the track being a collaboration with Jlin ?

she did have a remix of MT1 t29r2. it was on a mix that later got taken down before the release of the EP. She also said something in an interview along the lines that he reached out and was like how the fuck do you make beats like that and she gave him some tips. But I don't think she ever straight up collabed on anything.

The only track on syro we know of that might have another artists DNA is Produk 29 (which is NOT one of the "mix" tracks). Vibert said he swears he had something to do with it.

He didn't really say which track, though?
Aphex offered me record an album together, but I now refuse to because I'm afraid that he'll steal from me my ideas. Once we've worked together - for a track, and six months later, I heard this track, that i heard would go into the new Aphex twin album and authorship there stood only for Aphex; there was not a word about me and that's what I, in fact, wrote all the bass line and the drums. I was very angry, so I decided no longer work together. Although we are still good friends, of course.
There was also this thing where 180db was under the name of Vibertvibed synth test. It was some myspace account iirc.

And quite recently there was that collab with Hockeysmith that backfired due to Hockeysmith jumping the gun with airing the demo stage track (subfloot). But the most hype was around the possible paradox collab. Got the picture that it was almost at the stage of an actual release or something.

Dismal as fuck.

no man, clip was cool AF

I always assumed that the uncredited Vibert work on Syro was Produk 29 cause the drums and bass sound so Wagon Christ-y but I suppose it could just as easily be 180db. I wonder why he was left off? AFX is normally quite respectful of this stuff, Voafose was credited on Analord 6, hell he wouldnt even upload the Cylob collab during the soundcloud dump he was that careful. Quite a weird situation really. Maybe Rich did it to wind him up for a laugh that went awry. Maybe he just got stoned and forgotten. Maybe Vibert got stoned and imagined it all.

I think collaborating with him would be tricky, he seems quite flighty and obv somebody who likes having total authorial control over things.

This did some serious damage to ageispolis for me, couldn't stand it for some time 'cause just kept on hearing those vocals over it. For each their own and everything but that track is just pure shit.

If 1st 44 was a JLin collab she brought out one of his best pieces of music in decades. T69, MT1 (my favorite) and 1st 44 are all s-tier contributions. For the record I doubt it was a collab but obviously 1st 44 was heavily influenced by footwork and she’s a luminary in that field so without the genre no way we get that song.

i think it was mt1 but my memory's hazy.

ninja from DA is a really fucking pushy guy.

I think Jlin's Embryo EP was made around the time of her contact with Aphex but not released for a few years. Something about it feels very Collapse EP adjacent. more than her usual work.
