well that's why i ask ... i ordered WCIOY and HWDS at the same time, i.e. last week, and they shipped WCIOY six days ago. in the package there was a note saying that they'd ship HWDS on the release date ... hence my confusion that you've gotten it just now, since i got a package from darla three days ago, with another freescha cd

Just got mine.

Here we go....

"It Wails pretty hard!"

:ok:

lols.

i received mine in the mail two hours ago; i'm very very very impressed. better than STCM and WCIOY, and roughly as good as KFTF (which is like the pinnacle of melodic electronic music, for me)

Yeah, superb release. Probably my favourite of the year so far. There is still the new Christ album though. Either way, it will be a toss-up between them, (probably).

nick just sent me pequod in the mail out of his own grace, and for that i am deeply grateful. i had just mentioned to him online quite a while ago how i had been outbid on ebay for the vinyl at the last minute several times, and he ended up sending me a copy for absolutely free. just makes me feel warm inside the way nick and mike are so friendly and willing to go out of their way, even dig into their own pockets for a complete stranger.

so at the very least, i ordered the new release. not that i hadnt planned on purchasing it already. now i just need to extend that gratitude back to milieu as well, ive been meaning to put an end to the freeloading for quite some time now, and i assure you i will!!!

it's very much in the vein of WCIOY ... like that album, but more so. and then less of like a 60s-70s-rollerdisco-porn sound; transform that into a mythical scifi horror film that takes place at an amusement park. or whatever

holy god damn pbn, you should be their publicist.

:omg:

So ... if you talk to people, they give you stuff?

Ask them for a copy of the soundtrack for that indie film in California they scored this year (or last).

Seriously, though: HWDS is very good, but Kids Fill The Floor is still their best. HWDS is incredibly consistent; no filler tracks at all.

I guess I'd like more of their older, cleaner, less fuzzy style; but any Freescha is good Freescha.

i talked to nick just to compliment.. not looking for handouts, i just wanted him to know his musi wails.

oh that's why i emailed cvj and ulrich schnauss, as well ... but it wouldn't have hurt if they were like "so, you're a huge fan ... here's an uber-rare 12 inch!"

no, im not saying that. i was talking to nick online, didnt ask a thing, and he mentioned that he probably had an extra pequod copy sitting around his place, and he'd be happy to send it off. granted it took him almost a year to finally send it, and it really just randomly showed up in the mail without warning. i would never contact a musician for the simple reason to romance them and get their music for free, but when it does happen, the more the merrier!
