Guest iep
thisket said: I'm mostly looking for divine reverb and delay - I have the distortion and all the other conventional effects taken care of. I'd also like to not sell my arm or anything. yeah i know its behringer, BUT: the BEHRINGER REV2494 is really fcukin nice for the price you pay for it.. it uses convolution reverb (for it's verbs at least, it also got pretty nice delays and some average/shitty chorus & flanging) but its very flexible & has loads of direct control for a impulse-response based verb.. good lcd screen, nice frontpanel layout etc.. but the thing is, the convolution engine is REALLY nicely made, the sound is as good as almost every verb unit in the <750$ price range (while the REV2494 costs 133 euro at thomann.de for example). its what behringer do best, rip (or at least, convolute;)) other gear and sell it for ridiculous prices, most of the time it results in crap, but sometimes (though it may be only this time) there is a diamond in there.. seriously, you couldnt even buy the individual case of that machine for less than the price they are asking for the whole unit, its insane.. i cant imagine how they make profit on these things.. here's the SoS review: http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/aug04/arti...ngerrev2496.htm Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/10857-looking-for-that-effects-box/page/2/#findComment-221217 Share on other sites
Guest thisket
Quote blicero Posted Yesterday, 08:29 AM this will do it cheap and basic. all you have to do is make sure your twiddling the right knob. to let the reverb decay naturally, durn down the send on the channel. to cut the reverb out immediately, turn down the return on the main. enjoy. Yeah, I should have mentioned it, but the "effects box" that I was referring to was a Behringer mixer like this (16 channel). The internal whaddyacallit BLEW UP and the effects are shot. I guess I'd try that AGAIN... but I've heard a lot bad about that there Behringer. What about an Alesis Picoverb? That seems cuddly-cute and possibly worth it.
