Guest MMBKG
Fuck all that be dissin HSH. You don't need to be cunts about the whole thing. You might want to make this thread on Expert Knob Twiddlers, you'll probably get a better response from them. earvalve said: i am making a hip hop song for this compilation called "lazy minimalist African American music". WTF happened to hip hop production? It's so damn lazy nowadays. Fucking "Gold Digger"? Bullshit. Listen to "Fuck Wit Dre Day") and tell me Lil Jon has shit on that. Guest remedial answerphone
Hey you guys've been too hard on this guy. I know kids who've bought HSH releases in the past and they really love that shit. Yeah they bought it cos their friend's on it, but so what? With a release of 500 you're going to get 500 people hear your track for £30. £30 is fuckin pennies. Sure you can spend a little more and get some copies of your album made or something, but how exactly are you going to sell that release? People will buy this HSH release because their friend is on it, and then stumble across your music because it's a good track on the compilation, and then maybe their friends'll hear it or something. I don't think it's a bad idea at all. If you got a thirty quid to spare, this probably isn't a bad investment. I realise not everyone has £30 to spare, but really, a taxi on NYE is going to cost that much, so I'm not so sure what everyone is whining about? If I had the creative ability to produce a half decent track, I might go for this. also i like the kind of DIY aesthetic, there should be more things like this.
