tarsier, i'd encourage you to practice using something like what fred recommended, goldwave. i found it really helpful.

cool i'm downloading the demo version of ableton right now, if it works out maybe i'll buy the real version off of ebay or something..

but why don't any of you use logic express or logic pro? wouldn't that be a better choice than ableton or cubase??

i was thinking about getting logic but now that i see barely anybody uses it there must be something wrong with it =S

maybe you should try them out yourself and make up your own mind

well i don't know what your opinions are on logic, i just assumed that something might have been wrong with it since none of you use it.. i'm watching some tour videos of logic express and it seems more of my type of thing than ableton.. i've been using garageband and logic seems to have the same kind of setup. whereas ableton is a huge learning curve for me..

the main problem with it is that it's mac-only, and most people use PCs.

stay the fuck away from logic mr tarsier... if you're having this much obvious difficulty with a toy like garageband, logic pro will mystify you beyond belief.

uhmm i watched the tutorial videos for logic, and the way the guy did it made it look really easy for someone whose used to garage band. i understood almost everything he was doing and it looked like it wouldn't take that long to get used to.
