old tunes and the brothers

so someone told me back in the day, someone who supposedly had a reliable source he said that michael and marcus were the ones who were controlling the leaked old tunes. they were the ones responsible for the leakage. i was told not to tell anyone, and i believed it because this fellow gave me tracks, tracks from old tunes , before everyone had them.

imagine i had old tunes before they were alllll over slsk. but i kept it hush-hush because i am a good person. yay

what's the point of this thread? i dunno.

just thought i'd put that out there. the brothers have a secret agenda it seems.,

yeah i think the secret party was in a cave, that's why no one found them

there is a ton of sampling of copywritten stuff, so yeah, but it could also just be shitty job of recreating their music.

Eh, I heard a lot of sweet nothings whispered on SoulSeek when this stuff was first coming out (back when there was just the incomplete 17 track) and nothing came out of it.

Was this a fellow on slsk, yekker, or did you make content through some other forum or what?

No, BoC themselves didn't leak the OT. They know who did, though.

i've always felt these guys as well as being great musicians were also great marketers and knew how to go about generating the interest. sure, let some of your old music slip out to spark curiosity. great idea.

i work in the game dev business, and when game info is leaked dont think it wasnt intentional. it can rekindle peoples interest in a game when there hasnt been much news about it for a while.

again...totally possible. i think these guy really know how to sell themselves.

probably by going to the person's flat and talking to them about "being nice" and "being bad."

Some of them I've not heard before. But isn't the authenticity of some of those tracks in question? Some of them are pretty bad so if they are authentic maybe it goes someway to explaining why BoC have never chosen to re-release the old stuff.

None of the authenticity of the tracks is in question, unless you're a maroon.
