No, you're just a latecomer. There's no "gospel", just a long story that you can read somewhere on David AC/Fredd-E's bocsite i believe (http://fredd-e.narfum.org/boc/discog/). If you had been around at the time the stuff first started to leak, and had followed the chain of events, I don't think there'd be much doubt in your mind. The brothers have confirmed them in interviews. Unfortunately, over time the legit leaks have been joined by a bunch of fakes, which can muddy the waters for people looking for them for the first time.

I must admit. I didn't take a lot of notice of the 'few old tracks' leaks when they started popping up. A good couple of years before they appeared I'd already downloaded a load of supposedly old BoC material from (the now defunct) Audio Galaxy web site. Amongst all that stuff there was loads of blatant fakes. Then there was loads of stuff that sounded so like BoC I was convinced it was their work. But since this time only a handful of those tracks have actually been confirmed as genuine. So yeah, I'd been downloading old BoC tracks long before the old tracks stuff started to appear. And as I just said, some of this stuff turned out to be genuine & some are still in question. But a lot of it turned out to be bogus hence my speculation now I guess.

I knew BoC had spoke about leaks of old material in interviews. But I wasn't aware they had specificly confirmed the 'few old tracks' stuff. Which interview was this? Anyone got a link? Cheers.

A member of HexSun confirmed their legitimacy on these very forums, and made mention of BoC someday possibly finding a proper release for these old tracks. Unfortunately, that was before we had a forum crash, but I might still have the backed up database somewhere with the thread in it...

Yes, I can vouch for his authenticity, as I have worked with him in past on the BoC Video Contest we had several years ago.
