I use a soundcard with 2 stereo pairs out What do you mean by booth out? and why can't you just record with Traktor? Anyway you can get by with Traktor without monitors, can be dangerous but it's not too bad Hmm, how are you gonna beatmatch without monitors? That's just impossible.. You use the booth output at gigs: the booth output is routed to the stage monitors while the monitor output is routed to your headphone (and the master out to the main soundsystem). Sometimes I do record my set in Traktor, however sometimes you want to record it to MiniDisc/MP3 player or even to Cubase SX (so you can instantly apply high quality limiting VST's to your mix). BTW 2 stereo pairs out is fine ofcourse.. I meant 1 or 2 mono outputs... Well if you know the tracks well enough, they are bpm'ed properly with good markers and you listen carefully with some extremely slow crossfading... I mean some tracks are just easy. Traktor beatmatches for you if you set your tracks up accurately. I've seen a few people play Traktor sets without any headphones. What do you send to the stage monitors... I mean whats it for? Im curious, I've never had any more complex set up than a stereo jack thrust at me by a 'soundman'.
