Autechre Cheap "untilted" CD at Amazon UK

Amazon UK have Autechre's "Untilted" CD for £3.96 - and if you're outside the UK they knock VAT off making it£3.37.

Guess it didn't sell as well as they thought. I loved it, but not everyone did it seems.

yep, LP5 was their last great album. When they weren't yet afraid of showing their soft side

i dunno, i prefer that they'd go off into insane experimentation. there's plenty of melodic/soft music that i can listen to; autechre should do whatever craziness they feel like doing

well, the whole point of experimentation is that it can sometimes go wrong, though 'augmatic disport' and 'pro radii' are still among the best tracks Ae have ever done, imo. and the whole idea behind untilted was a fascinating one; i mean who would have guessed that Ae, of all people, would stop using software?

confield is good. they should make more of that.

autechre sells very well from what i can tell. untilted was the number 1 seller (the week it was released) at one record shop i go to which mostly sells indie.

hm yeah that's a good point, they usually only put products on discount if they've sold a lot of copies (though it can also be done because of lack of sales, of cousre)

i dont know how people can talk about untilited not being rhythmic. I wonder how many people criticizing dl'd the fake. But i love it. it makes me want to move. very tribal

i was enoying ep7 the other day & for a moment i kind of regret the lack of str8 melodies in recent autechre but later i put untilted & Ae Vs H3O (2005) & i've got to reckon their very latest outputs are finally very sweet & lovely.

if u want a record that sounds like Amber, just put Amber on yr CD player.

i performed at a show this past weekend and after i was done with my set... i went to my car with some friends and listened to ae... i was showing them untilted... ofcourse, confusion washed across their faces... and glee across mine.
