Ege Bamyasi for sure

Tago Mago is the one that I read as recommended. I haven't really given them enough time yet to give my own opinion. The only track I know well is Mushroom...and that's great.

if anybody could recommend one that sounds similiar to the velvet underground, from that list. thanks.

i guess ege bamyasi sounds closest to the VU

neu's last album's second side is the most VUish krautrock i know though... at that point the two blokes weren't really on speaking terms, so they did a side each

i saw damo suzuki live last year. it was fucking amazing

I recomment their first four albums Monster Movie, Tago Mago, Ege Bamyasi, and Future Days
