yeah, I still haven't listened to it backwards (from the way it is on the cd) yet, though.

Yeah, me either- I like the forward / reversed reverse version though :dizzy:

no, I mean I've only heard it the way it is on the cd (man this is confusing).

Not a very consistent release, but on the other hand, a few of these tracks are the best they've done in a long time, namely Dancing Behind My Eyelids and Guilty Rocks

Just got this and I have to say I'm really liking it despite all of the so-so reviews. Can get a little overly twee at times, but you expect that with Mum. Not sure what people were expecting...

It's good stuff but it's somehow not quite what it could be. The tracks just build up and threaten to explode into exuberance but somehow it stays somewhat contained. Still quite enjoyable though. And it was much better live :)

you know what, this is a great album. thought it was good on the first weeks listenings. then saw them live the other day and they were great. the new singers aren't the old singers but they do an ok job. the new songs are more songs based than the old songs. and you know what i like them. if i had to choose might choose old mum to new mum but i'm very happy with new mum. favorite song currently is moon pulls, it really stood out live.

they played a couple of old songs. one off summer make good. and they were very respectful. the tall guy sings alot more which adds some nice bass to the vocals.

of the new singers, one looks icelandic elve like and one looks like a music teacher.

also i love the idea of new fans hearing the old stuff after the new stuff.

This album's been my introduction to mum, and I must say I enjoy it. It's a good album choice for this time of year, goes well with Christmas lights. It's like what would happen if the toys of my childhood came to life and started jamming... with some random young couple occasionally singing over-top.

It is indeed very "twee" at parts. Probably the cutest album I own.
